This piece dates to 1912. The caster is done in an interesting round-bodied form.
The lid and base are adorned with flower and scroll designs against a stippled background. The body has nice scenes of a boat on the water with houses in the background. Use this for pepper, cinnamon and sugar, or whatever else you like. The caster is in great condition.There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This caster is hallmarked with a Dutch standard mark for 833 silver purity, as well as what looks like an assay mark and the date letter C for 1912. The caster stands about 3 7/8 inches tall. This piece weighs 77 grams or 2.7 regular ounces.
