Fancy Dutch First Standard Sterling Silver Pierced Serving Spoon. Presented is a very fine quality, Dutch first standard large silver serving spoon made in the year 1906. The wide oval bowl is nicely fluted and beautifully pierced. The handle is done in a rounded antiqued tipt style. This piece could be used to serve a large variety of foods. Because it is pierced it can be used for peas, berries, or anything else that needs to be strained.

This can also be used for serving squash or potatoes, or anything else you like. This piece is fully hallmarked on the reverse with the Dutch first standard purity mark for 934 purity silver. This is actually higher in purity than sterling silver (which is 925 purity silver). It is also hallmarked for Amsterdam, and the date letter W in gothic script corresponding to the year 1906. This piece is also hallmarked for the maker DvO&Z for Daniel van Outvorst Jr.

This server is also stamped with Hoeker & Zoon, most likely for the retailer's mark. There are no brakes, no repairs, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no problems of any kind. This server weighs 96.0 grams or 3.9 ounces. The length is 8 3/4 inches.

The maximum width of the bowl is 3 inches. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution. This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Non-U.
