The ornate handle of the spoon features curling vine designs topped with a large windmill building; a face can be seen looking out the window of the windmill while a figure knocks on the door below. The back of the spoon bowl was chased by hand with a lion motif. Originally, this spoon would have been used to serve rice, potatoes, and other heavier foods.
