For you to consider is an antique pair of silver plated 6 panel repousse 12 candlesticks by Derby Silverplate Co. Dating to the 1890s, the extraordinary craftsmanship displayed in their creation is evident on each panel. Depictions of a courtship story is seen hand chased on the top of the base with a slip trail of vines and scrollwork climbing the body of each candlestick. The candle cup is housed at the flared hexagonal crest that is encircled with finely detailed acanthus leaves. A difficult to find larger set thats in overall very good condition with no dents, dings, rub marks, or excessive surface scratching.

Occasional tiny specks of plate loss have been found at the fine detailed points in the pattern, but these are not noticeable or distracting unless seeking them out. The plating polishes up to a brilliant luster, although remnants of old polish from prior cleanings remains trapped in some of the crevices. This can likely be removed with a little diligence and care. Hallmark and pattern number is seen on the base. Wear is appropriate for a pair of exquisitely crafted silver plated candlesticks with over a century of honest use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing.
