This is a superb and elegant pair of 19th century Dutch candlesticks. In the Empire style made by Amsterdam silversmith. This gifted silversmith worked for the illustrious firm of Bennewitz and Bonebakker. Probably the most important silver workshop in the city of Amsterdam in the 19th century.
