LATE VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER LIDDED TRINKET POT 1896 - DUTCH. A late Victorian beautifully worked solid silver pot (possibly tobacco container or trinket pot) by Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. The piece carries the Dutch export mark on the base and also the English hallmark for London 1896 on both the base and the lid. The pot is beautifully worked in stunningly intricate repoussé detail, depicting figures set in a rural life scene surrounded by foliate work. The lid bears a slightly later gift inscription: from Chasse to Tibs, June 6th 1900.
Condition: good condition, the lid fits beautifully and the hallmarks are clear. There are a few tiny dings on the lid. Diameter: 6 cm (2) at base.
