Unusual 19th C Dutch Silver Miniature Group Of Rocking Crib With Stork & Baby
Century Dutch miniature silver model of a rocking crib, surmounted by a stork delivering a baby. The sides of the crib are decorated in typical fashion with figures and scrolls, while the canopy is decorated with cherubs heralding the arrival of the child. The crib measures 4.1cm long, stands 5.8cm to the top of the stork and is a maximum of 1.9cm deep. It weighs 26g, and one end appears to have some rather confused hallmarks. The balancing point is quite difficult to find, and the surface needs to be flat for it to stand properly. It is evidently free from damage or repairs, as far as I can tell. We no longer send to South Africa or Israel. FEEDBACK: We will be pleased to return feedback when you have received the item and are happy with it.
