This appears to be a late 18th century double-cased pocket watch featuring square pillars! The movement is marked: London Tarts S622. Running condition as this was just serviced too! The outer repousse case is a very artistic 3-dimensional masterpiece.
It measures 49.5-mm in diameter, but could not find any hallmarks on the outer case. The inner case is 42-mm in diameter x 26-mm thick! The case is marked with an "X" as well as a couple other hallmarks but rather illegible (possibly a bust, also a 2 or maybe backwards S). This has a key-wind and key-set mechanical movement, verge escapement with fusee and chain power source. Winds and sets easily, runs and keeps acceptable time as per this type. Will include 2 keys, modern type, one for winding and one for setting. The case does have wear and patina, hinges/covers work well, crystal is very high-dome vintage glass, scratched but good condition, dial has a couple scratches but looks nice, hands are rather raw but look good! See item specifics for more details.
