Mounted with the figure of a dolphin and with a matching set of 2 cut crystal ink bottles and 1 cut crystal sander, all with silver mounts. Also fitted are 4 pen rests, or possibly these are for small candles.All raised on 4 winged feet, a popular decoration in the early 19th century. Weight 434 grams, 13.9 troy ounces. Marked on the edge, top and the dolphin with Dutch silver stamps and date letter for 1835. The maker is probably Jean George Grebe, Rotterdam.
Condition: This lovely silver inkstand is in very good condition, both silver and glass, with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are clear. The silver grade is 934 which is higher grade than 925 sterling silver. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age.
