Antique c1890 German Silver Dutch Colonial Style Openwork Serving Spoon Server. Presented is an antique, German silver serving piece made in Hanau during the late 1800s or possibly very early 1900s. This decorative piece is done in a classic Dutch Colonial style. This is a large and very ornately designed piece.The handle has a curved end, so you can hang it from a serving bowl. The openwork bowl or base has a lovely genre scene of a woman picking fruit, surrounded by fruits, flowers, leaves and scrolls. The top of the bowl bears Hanau, Germany pseudo-hallmarks. This piece is at least 800 silver purity, perhaps as high as 900 silver purity. This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp.
